When you go to your appointment to apply for a new passport, you will need to bring the following items with you to the post office:

  2. Proof of U.S. Citizenship. You will need to present original physical documentation proving your citizenship status (for example, your birth certificate). In addition, you will need to bring a photocopy of the document.
  3. Proof of Identity. You will need to show, for example, a driver's license. In addition, you will need to bring a photocopy of this identification document.
  4. A recent color photograph (a "passport photo") which must show the front of your face, and be 2x2 inches in size. Danville Post Office does have passport photo services, and, for a fee, your photo can be taken there.
